Robert H. Leonard

Profile

Robert H. (Bob) Leonard was born in Saginaw, Michigan. In 1993 Mr. Leonard retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Colonel. During his time in the Air Force Mr. Leonard served in various positions including: Senior Judge, Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals; Staff Judge Advocate, Area Defense Counsel; Military Judge, Deputy Chief, Air Force Military Justice Division; and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, USCENTAF. After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Leonard began a civilian practice of law working for an estate planning and taxation firm in Washington, D.C. During that period, he gained extensive experience with sophisticated estate planning techniques such as insurance trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained income trusts, generation-skipping dynasty trusts, family limited partnerships, split dollar arrangements, and buy-sell agreements. He moved to Laramie, Wyoming in September 1994.

Mr. Leonard currently practices in the areas of tax, estate planning, and business planning. He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to single and multiple employer employee benefit plans providing health and other welfare benefits. Click here to email Mr. Leonard.

Mr. Leonard is married to the former Carmen Cores-Castro of Pontevedra, Spain. He has three children, Julie, Daniel, and Christopher. He enjoys snow skiing, biking, running, and hunting.
Both Mr. Leonard and his wife are extensively involved in community affairs.
